ALI has an active working Board, which is the heart of all our operations. The efforts of the Board are coordinated by a contract Office Manager.
The officers are: Steve Daut Chair, Joan Gaughan Vice Chair, Peter Van Hoek Treasurer, and Sue Elkins Secretary.
COMMITTEES
Executive Committee:
This committee consists of all officers, and meets on an as-needed basis to deal with administrative issues and bring recommendations to the full Board when appropriate.
Curriculum Committee:
Jan Longworth and Camie Noah, Co-Chairs
Determines class line-up, organizes class schedule, communicates with instructors, schedules facilities, evaluates classes/teachers.
Registration Committee:
Karen Szymanski, Chair
Registers participants, recruits and directs class assistants, maintains demographic records. Develops registration policy and procedures. Coordinates proofreading of material such as catalog.
Web Committee:
Steve Daut, Chair
Maintains website. Updates web site content based on input from the Board and other chairs.
Audiovisual/Tech Committee:
Mike Muha, Chair
Arranges technical support for classes. Trains tech assistants to help during classes. Takes photographs and maintains the photo repository. Assists with technology issues, computers and database
Public Relations Committee:
Joan Gaughan, Chair
Prepares press releases and other advertising, oversees design of brochure, organizes bulk mailings, designs flyers.
Finance Committee:
Peter Van Hoek, Chair
Prepares yearly budget proposals, maintains financial records, reconciles budget report and seek approval for monthly expenses.
